2) Visit to Sussex Gardens

Our Coffee Break group meets every Friday morning. We are thinking of a trip out at the end of May (when everything is in bloom) to one of Sussex's gardens. We shall be running a mini bus. Details are still to be worked out but if you are interested in a day out with some new friends, you will be very welcome. We can arrange to collect you and take you back home etc.

3) Hope 2010 - Community Project (19-23 July)

For the last two years, we have worked with our partner church in the city (Holland Road Baptist Church) in running two projects in Hangleton. You can find out more information on this web site about our work at the Hangleton Community Centre.

This July, we are planning another project, which will be called 'Helping Hands.' Teams will work around the community doing small jobs, especially for the elderly, those with disabilties of for single parent families. Jobs will include basic gardening, small DIY tasks, basic painting  and shopping.

There will also be children's activities and a barbecue to finish off the week on the green, outside the community centre.

If you think this is something you might like to get involved with, please contact us. All adults working with children have to be CRB checked beforehand. The church can organise this.
