Men's breakfast

We resumed our men's breakfast today (18 December) after quite a long lapse. These are events for men to come and share friendship together, to enjoy a full breakfast at the start of the day, and to hear a talk from a special guest on a topic of interest. Today we were very pleased to welcome Professor Richard Vincent, from the Sussex Medical School here in Brighton. Richard is a cardiac specialist and also a practising Christian. He was an ideal person to come and talk about this knotty subject - science and faith.

Despite flurries of snow, some 24 men turned up, some having opted to walk a good distance rather than take the car. I think everyone agreed that the idea of a men's breakfast is a good one, and that we should aim to do this again. So, we shall plan our next meeting around Easter time.
