• Samaritan's Purse - shoe box appeal 2010 (7 photos)

  We want to say a big thank you to all those children from Sunday School, Kidz Klub and Oasis Youth (OY) who have helped to make up shoe box Christmas parcels for children in eastern Europe. This year, these gifts are going to children in orphanages and others in poor communities that would otherwise receive nothing or little at all at Christmas.
  
  We had very little time to collect boxes, wrap them up and to find suitable gifts to include for children on different ages. But we got there. So well done to everyone who helped.
  
  If you would like to contribute to this project in 2011 please let us know. You will be very welcome.

  

• Helping Hands Project - 2010 (9 photos)

  In July 2010 we spent a week working with Holland Road Baptist Church in running various social action projects throughout our community. These pictures show volunteers hard at work gardening and painting and decorating. We were able to help people who needed it, which was the purpose of the project. We had Christians working together from Hove, Wales and amazingly, Brazil! Some can be seen painting the Knoll Pavilion Cafe, ably supported with cups of tea by Elaine Batchelor.
  
  We hope to run the project again in the future... so watch this space for more information!
